I would stay again however wouldn’t eat at the restaurant

The hotel was very clean . We had a privilege room on 2nd floor which was lovely.

We ordered food . Me and my daughter order at the same time however my daughters burger arrived 30 mins after my food. My food was disappointing as the. Chicken was over cooked. After asking 2 x we eventually got my daughters food. The breakfast was buffet we were there for opening at 7 am however the food was barely warm.

Ide of facilities ie swimming pool. Lovely staff very helpful

Over night stay couldn't fault this hotel. Had evening meal and breakfast in the hotel was very good

Ok but expensive

Staff were helpfull and polite. Room was OK.

Shower was poor. Bathroom was old and needed updating. Bar dinning area did not have enough tables for diners.

Brilliant dog friendly hotel. Friendly staff and comfortable room.

Loved how the hotel was dog friendly, and the parking was great. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool etc but good to have the facility. Nice quiet bar area and the staff were lovely.

The food was average and a little on the expensive side. Rooms are quite small and a little dated, but comfortable nonetheless. I'd say for the price we paid it was reasonably good value for money.

Reception staff very helpful. Privilege room lovely.

Pool facilities old and tired. Place could do with a refresh. No restraunt had to eat in bar for evening meal, poor food choices.

Overall a good stay

The location was perfect. The bed and space was outstanding. The swimming pool was lovely.

The order-to-room service didn’t seem to be in operation. Order was left on the door but it was not collected.

The price for the twin room was too high and not good value, the double good except for the noise

Breakfast was good, the spa was very good.

The first room was a little small, the second was very good but the noise from the air conditioning unit outside loud, constant and lasted all night.

I was quite happy with my stay, apart from the points which I have made above.

I had breakfast on Sunday and it was very good.

When I filled in the form requesting an early breakfast, I failed to see the small print saying the time which I had ticked (0600 to 0615) was not available at weekends and bank holidays. The day I wanted was a Saturday. It would have been helpful if someone the night before had phoned to tell me this after they collected the card from the door.

Don't bother

The sheets were clean and crisp

The room needs completely ripping out and modernising it was a total shock to me that rooms still exist with the old furniture and tatty bathroom I will never again go back and its such a shame as it is in a lovely setting shame on them

Convenient but shabby

Very shabby...needs a refit and repaint everywhere....really showing its age and heavy usage over the years,although basically clean with nice, efficient, helpful staff....plus peaceful sleep in a good bed...it was convenient for visiting family nearby over Christmas..that's all!

Good value just outside Bolton and Blackrod

Clean, modern and well run chain hotel, room fine, health club good, staff helpful.

Good value, clean and comfortable. Breakfast quite pricey at £11 compared to the cost of the room but not bad. It is in quite an odd location, not in Blackrod itself, and not in Bolton (despite the name) so you need a car or taxi to go anywhere from it.

Very poor experience, i will not be returning.

Breakfast created a hostile atmosphere between a guest and a member of staff, not enough food on display. Dinner menu extremely poor only a few choices available due to lack of supplies, i was forced to go out to eat! Requested a refund for breakfast as it was included in my rate and discovered i had been charged for two people instead of one.

Good location, but outdated

As we wanted to get away from the hassle of NYE, this hotel has served the purpose. Even though being big and hosting two parties, we’ve been given the room at the quiet end of the building. Breakfast was nice, plenty to choose from.

Bathroom was very outdated, so was the furniture in the room. Bed was comfortable though.

Sleep in your clothes!

The hotel was clean and comfortable and ideally located for what we needed it for however we stayed for two nights and both nights the fire alarm was set off so we had to go and stand outside in the freezing car park. No staff to advise on what to do. No one checking if residents were there or not. We saw people smoking hanging out of the windows and heard others saying that they witnessed people smoking inside. When you have travelled from the south of England for a family funeral and have a long drive back again two nights interrupted sleep is not what you need.

Pool area was nice but would not stay here again as requires full renovation.

Staff were very friendly, pool/sauna area was a nice option during our stay.

Rooms very dated and worn. No choice of pillows - very hard. Heating not effective (no heating control for room and heating intermittent). Dirty/worn armchair in room. Only one bath towel for two guests. Wardrobe and drawers warped unusable. Substantial roof leak on the stairs whilst cannot be helped needs attention with just a bucket placed on the stairway.
